Anne King is a wildlife biologist, specializing in ornithology, with more than 20 years of professional experience. Anne worked for a non-profit bird research and conservation organization early in her career. Since her shift to environmental consulting, Anne has expanded her experience to include special-status amphibians, reptiles, and mammals. Most recently, she has been the biological task leader or project manager on large-scale flood control projects in the Sacramento Valley. Anne has led many biological survey and monitoring programs, endangered species permitting programs, construction monitoring programs, and has authored more than a hundred CEQA/NEPA biological resources analyses.

She has extensive experience working closely with clients and design teams to balance project needs with biological resource and permitting opportunities and constraints. Anne has prepared permit applications and engaged in agency consultation to ensure compliance with federal and state Endangered Species Acts, including preparation of biological assessments and Section 2081 permit applications for many projects. She has also been responsible for implementing Habitat Conservation Plan mitigation programs and assisted with developing resource management plans and in habitat restoration planning and implementation projects.
